Injured in the ADF?

The If you are a veteran or current / former ADF member and have an injury or illness casually related to your ADF service, or you were discharged on medical grounds, you may be entitled to benefits you didn’t even know about.

There are four Acts that provide compensation coverage for current and former members of the ADF. They are:

  • Veterans’s Entitlement Act 1986 (VEA)
  • Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRCA)
  • Military, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA)
  • Defence Act 1903 (DA)

The Sub Branch Pensions, Advocacy and Welfare Service can advise you of your entitlements to benefits according to your service history, even if you are not a current RSL member.

Pensions and Welfare officers are available for assistance at the Sub-Branch Office on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 0900hrs and 1200hrs.

Phone (02) 4396 4855 and ask for the RSL Pensions Officer during these hours only. Outside these hours please call the Pensions Office on (02) 4399 1165. Under special circumstances, the Pensions Officer will visit the member at home.
