Monthly meetings are held in the first floor meeting room at the Toukley RSL Club on the first Monday of each month at 1000hrs. All members are encouraged to attend to involve themselves in sub-branch activities. Snacks and drinks are provided following the meetings.
This is the day that commemorates the offical end of hostilities in the Great War. In this, after more than 100 years since this great conflict started, it is still an opportunity to recall and give thanks to the men and women who gave their lives in the service of their country.
For a detailed background of Remembrance Day see the RSL NSW Remembrance Day Services
Toukley RSL Sub Branch will be holding a service on Remembrance Day, details will follow.
This is a special day for all Australians. It is our opportunity to remember and honour the sacrifice that our service men and women made in times past to ensure that we enjoy the freedoms we do today. It is also an appropriate day to remember the ongoing service our men and women of the Navy, the Army and the Air Force continue to provide and in particular those who have fallen in the line of duty. For a full background on ANZAC Day, see ANZAC Day Ceremonies in Sydney.
They shall grow not old,as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them
Lest We Forget
