Lest We Forget
The Toukley RSL Sub-Branch respectfully invites veterans, serving and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force, their families, local schools, community organisations, and residents of the Central Coast to attend our Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Toukley RSL Cenotaph on Wednesday, 11 November 2026.
Remembrance Day is one of Australia’s most significant national days of commemoration. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we pause to remember the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in service to our nation and to honour all Australians who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
Ceremony Details
Date: Wednesday, 11 November 2026
Location: Toukley RSL Cenotaph, 267-269 Main Road, Toukley
Assembly: 10:45 am
Service Commences: 11:00 am sharp
The commemorative service will include:
Welcome and opening address.
Wreath laying ceremony.
The Ode of Remembrance.
One Minute’s Silence at 11:00 am.
The Last Post and Rouse.
The Australian National Anthem.
Community members wishing to lay a wreath are warmly welcomed. Organisations intending to lay a wreath are encouraged to assemble with their representatives prior to the commencement of the service.
Following the ceremony, attendees are invited into the Toukley RSL Club for refreshments and an opportunity to gather in fellowship.
On this Remembrance Day, we invite our community to stand together in gratitude and reflection as we honour the courage, service, and sacrifice of all who have worn our nation’s uniform.

Dress Requirements: Sub-Branch Members – Order No. 1 – Ceremonial Dress, Committee – Blazer/Tie/Medals, Members – Dark Jacket/Tie/Medals, Members of the Public – Neat Casual/Medals as appropriate.
